Gentlemen,
With reference to your letter of the 30th June, 1920, I am directed to inform you that the Secretary of State for the Colonies has expressed the opinion that your clients, the Tai Yan Steem Launch Company and others, should be paid compensation in respect of the Yeumati Ferry Service for all loss actually incurred by them (i.e. excluding loss in respect of future profits) and I am to request you to furnish the Government with a statement of particulars of the losses claimed.
